Welcome To New Westminster!
New Westminster School District has been providing a quality public education to its residents since the 1920’s and the District consistently ranks among the top public boards in the province of British Columbia. From Kindergarten through to grade 12, New Westminster classrooms boast innovative learning and academic excellence as well as co-curricular opportunities for students. Many New Westminster graduates go on to study at top universities across Canada, the U.S.A, and countries around the world.

Organization of New Westminster School District
There are 12 schools in the District: eight elementary, three middle, and one secondary school. The District is currently in the process of planning a NEW! secondary school to replace the existing New Westminster Secondary School building which opened in 1955. The new building will be the largest project of its kind in the history of the Province.
